On the homefront side of things, we had a great holiday at Sun City, the weather wasn't sunshine all the time, but it was perfect for us, you can get a bit sick of spending every single day at the pool, so we welcomed the dull days, and used them to our advantage by spending time doing other activities which you usually burn out in, when the sun is out in full swing.
Once back, it was as usual a mad rush to get through the pile of washing. I had to make dentist appointments for Aiden and I, and was fortunate to manage to get one fairly quickly, well the day after Aiden's 8th Birthday.
Yes! We had a birthday in January. I let the kids have the day off school, not that we had anything special planned, but Aiden enjoyed just being able to do what she wanted for the day. We still had all the normal actitivities to do in the afternoon; Modern Dancing, Kumon and Swimming.
On the Saturday after Aiden's birthday, we'd planned a picnic at the Botanical Gardens, unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side, so we ended up having it indoors!
On the school front, we started back on the 18th Jan., Blaine couldn't wait to start, he was scared he'd forgotten everything after the long holiday..hahahaha.....

Sigh, rain rain go away! But on the positive side, at least we dont have water restrictions!
ReplyDeleteThe kids loved the indoor picnic and had a fun time anyway.
